UPDATE: NH State Fire Marshal investigating the death of one after numerous mutual aid teams were sent to Little Hill Road this morning.

WEBSTER, NH — State Fire Marshal J. William Degnan announced on Jan. 22, 2017, that the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting Fire Chief Emmett Bean Sr. of the Webster Fire Department and Police Chief Ben Liberatore of the Webster Police Department with a fatal fire investigation at 401 Little Hill Road in Webster. The Webster Fire Department was called to the above address at approximately 02:45 a.m. this morning for a house fire, according to a press statement.

The fire was discovered by an occupant of the home, who alerted the other occupants to the fire. A total of nine people were at the home at the time of the fire. Eight escaped the fire with one unaccounted for when fire personnel arrived on scene. First arriving fire personnel found a fully involved structure fire and Bean requested a third alarm response from surrounding communities to assist with manpower and water supply.

The NH State Fire Marshal’s Office responded and during the course of the investigation located one deceased individual inside the heavily fire damaged home. An autopsy is scheduled for Jan. 23, to make positive identification of the deceased individual. The home was a complete loss and the fire investigation is still on going at this time.
