Concord Firefighters Extinguish Another Homeless Camp Fire: Watch

Concord firefighters were sent to a homeless camp fire on Storrs Street on Tuesday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord firefighters were sent to another homeless fire on Storrs Street on Tuesday.

Around 3:30 p.m., capital region dispatch received a call about smoke seen in the area of Dunkin’ Donuts on South Main Street.

Firefighters arrived at the area and began searching for the cause of the smoke. About 10 minutes later, they discovered the fire was on Storrs Street and headed to the area behind the Granite Group building, where various homeless camps are located.

Firefighters found the fire at a homeless camp site and spoke to the camper.

“The resident at the camp fire was counseled, illegal materials removed, we’ll be clearing,” one firefighter said.
