Concord Firefighters Extinguish Garage Fire In The South End
Update: Concord firefighters spent Thursday night putting out a fire on Harrison Street in the city's South End neighborhood.
CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to Harrison Street for a report of a building fire Thursday.
Dispatch reported the fire in a barn next to the home near Morton Street at 10:40 p.m. Four trucks and three ambulances were sent to the home where the firefighters found "rapid exposure" coming from the building, according to scanner chatter.
Command was quickly established about six minutes into the call with firefighters attempting to tackle it from two sides of the 10 foot by 12 foot structure.

Dispatch requested an engine from Hooksett and a Hopkinton ambulance, too, for mutual aid.
Command later reported the building was a garage not a barn and the fire was extinguished just before 11 p.m. The commander also requested dispatch to cancel mutual aid and call fire prevention to the scene, too.
