Concord Firefighters Raise $3,500 for MDA

Union members, administration hold dough raiser, other events to collect money.

Concord Firefighters Local 1045 has been actively raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the last few months, including a “dough raiser” event at Uno on Fort Eddy Road back in October, where firefighters and city staffers waited on tables.

This year, more than $3,500 was raised for the organization. The money will go to summer camps, wheelchairs, and other items for kids with the disease right here in New Hampshire.

Last week, the firefighters delivered the check to the MDA. A local family, the Jonathan family, who have benefited from some of the programs, were in attendance for the event.
