Concord Firefighters Sent To Chimney Fire In The South End: Watch

A Bow Street homeowner extinguished most of the fire in their fireplace on Wednesday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to a chimney fire Wednesday on Bow Street.

Around 8 p.m., capital region dispatch began receiving calls about a fire inside a home in the South End. Firefighters found nothing showing when they arrived, according to the commander.

The commander learned the homeowner extinguished most of the fire inside a fireplace. The tower truck accessed the chimney to check for fire spreading. Firefighters also examined the home's attic to see if the fire had spread from the chimney.
