Concord High School Holds Memorial Service For Parkland Victims
Watch: Hundreds of students and supporters in the community held a vigil for the lives lost in Florida recently.
CONCORD, NH — Hundreds of Concord High School students as well as a couple of dozen community supporters held a vigil outside at the school on March 14, 2018, to memorialize the lives lost in the Parkland FL shooting recently. The event – dubbed Concord High School's March For Our Lives – was respectful, reflective, and somber compared to other events across the country that were more like political rallies. The students held placards with the names of each victim, announced the names, followed the announcements with a moment of silence, and then, the placement of a single rose, in the center of the campus.
Parents, journalists, supporters, and others not involved with the school were not allowed on the campus but watched from the sidelines.
There was also a police presence at the event.
