CONCORD, NH — New coronavirus screening procedures are coming to the Concord Hospital campus.

Beginning Friday, the new COVID-19 procedures will include screening signage at all points of entry, but patients and visitors will no longer be required to stop and answer screening questions. Matthew Johnson, the director of public affairs for the hospital, said, “patients and visitors will be asked to report to registration or hospitality should they meet any of the posted COVID-19 conditions.”

He added that per CDC mandate, masks “must continue to be worn” inside all Concord Hospital buildings.

“Concord Hospital continues to encourage the public to get vaccinated and boosted to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and to wear a mask whenever possible while in public,” Johnson said.

As of Thursday, New Hampshire’s COVID-19 database said the state was averaging 229 new infections per day. In the last two weeks, Concord has reported 95 positive test results, while around 10,600 residents, about a quarter of the city’s population, have reported infections during the 30-month pandemic.
