Concord Man Allegedly Steals Masturbation Tool, Lotions, E-Hookahs

Police arrest Garrett Rogenski twice in one day on various charges; second man also charged with criminal trespass.

The first day of September was a hard one for a local man who was picked up twice by the Concord Police for two separate incidents.

Garrett Rogenski, 20, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. on Sept. 1, and charged with criminal trespass, receiving stolen property, and theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

According to arrest reports, Rogenski’s problems started when police were called to Spencer’s Gifts at the Steeplegate Mall on Loudon Road for a shoplifter in custody.

The officer was familiar with the alleged shoplifter, Rogenski, since he had taken him into protective custody on Aug. 31, “due to his level of impairment.”

A clerk alleged that she saw Rogenski steal a number of items, including two Orange E-Hookahs that were put “up his wrist,” an amplifier speaker that was put in his backpack, and a “Super Sucker masturbation tool,” that was placed in his black side bag, according to the arrest report.

When Rogenski attempted to slip out of the store, the clerk requested he stop and return the merchandise.

“Rogenski only gave her two of the items,” the report alleged.

The clerk asked for the rest of the items the she reportedly saw Rogenski steal and he allegedly gave her back some of the items, “along with more items that he had stolen that she had not seen him take.”

The officer asked Rogenski if he had anything else, and he allegedly reached into his pocket and “pulled out a container of lube.”

The items stolen amounted to about $86.

Rogenski was arrested and while being transported to the police station, another officer reportedly found socks that appeared to have been stolen from Hot Topic as well as Rogenski’s wallet on a bench outside of Spencer’s. The socks were valued at $14.50.

Rogenski was given his Miranda rights and spoke with the officer about the case and a receiving stolen property charge was added to his arrest, according to the report. He was also given a no trespass order to the mall.

About six hours later, officers were called to the Concord Gardens apartment for a report of men who were walking around the complex, reportedly intoxicated. One, according to the caller, had urinated in front of the caller and was now sitting in a parked Honda Civic.

The reporting officer recognized the two men, Sean Emery and Rogenski, from previous contacts, sitting in the car. When asked why they were in the car, they reportedly stated that they had no place to sleep and were going to crash in the car. The car didn’t belong to either Emery nor Rogenski, according to the registration papers, so the owner was called. According to the report, the owner told an officer that neither had permission to be in the car.

Emery and Rogenski were then arrested on criminal trespass charges. They are both due in court on Oct. 16.
