Concord Man, Also A Boston Fugitive, Faces Assault Charges in Massachusetts, New Hampshire

CONCORD, NH — A man from Concord, wanted on a Boston warrant, was arrested on Friday after an incident on North Main Street.

On Thursday, police received information about a man wanted in Boston, Massachusetts. Vincent Mott, 32, of North Main Street in Concord, was wanted by Boston police on an outstanding warrant for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to Deputy Chief John Thomas of the Concord Police Department, police on Friday learned about a possible assault in the city involving Mott.

A warrant was issued for Mott’s arrest, and a search warrant was requested for an apartment in the Gaslighter Restaurant building. Police staged at the Cumberland Farms around 1:30 p.m. and entered the building. Mott was found and arrested on the fugitive from justice charge out of Boston, as well as two felony second-degree assault charges.

Officers at the scene also requested Concord fire and rescue teams for a report of an unconscious man inside the apartment and that his condition might be drug-related, according to scanner chatter. No other information was available about the medical call at post time.

Mott was processed, refused bail, and was taken to the county jail.

On Monday, he was arraigned by video on the fugitive charge, a felony second-degree assault-strangulation charge, and a domestic violence-simple assault misdemeanor charge. A case status hearing on the fugitive charge has been booked for Aug. 20.
