Man Charged with Attempted Murder
Concord Police allege that David Best "slashed" another man with a knife.

The has charged a Concord man with attempted murder, and other charges, after an altercation with another man, in front of a young child.
David Best, 35, of Concord, was arrested at around 1:30 p.m. on July 28, and charged with attempted murder, attempted aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Details about the arrest and incident are limited at this point. Watch Commander John Zbehlik, of the Concord Police Department, offered a short statement about the arrest, reporting that officers investigated the incident and allege that Best “slashed a male victim with a knife” and that “a young child was present during the encounter.”

The child was not injured, according to Zbehlik.
Best was apprehended at a local business and will be arraigned in Sixth District Circuit Court at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 30.
