The next night, police along with Concord Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the Thirty Pines on Village Street for a report of a person down in the parking lot with a needle in his arm.
The first officer to arrive found a man at the back of a cargo van with the doors open and a syringe in his hand. He couldn’t find the man’s identification but later, found a cellphone and the bail paperwork from the night before, identifying the man as Porter.

The officer spoke to a witness who stated that he was playing a game on his cellphone and saw Porter get out of the van and open the back doors. The next thing he knew, “Porter was sitting on the ground kind of hunched over,” according to the report.
Firefighters gave Porter two shots of Narcan and he reportedly woke up.
When asked what happened, Porter reportedly stated that nothing happened. The officer showed Porter the needle and asked what was in it. Porter allegedly stated, “Heroin.” He declined transportation to the hospital and was arrested.
Inside the van, police allegedly found a spoon with brown residue and a bag with a spoon, Q-tips, and orange drink covers. In between the seats, police also allegedly found syringes and a marijuana pipe. He was arraigned on Nov. 3.
