Concord Man Tried to Puncture Tire at State Office Complex: NHSP

State Police arrested Thomas Angwin today for attempted criminal mischief after an incident on Tuesday that was caught on surveillance.

CONCORD, NH — A local man was arrested today after allegedly attempting to place a screw underneath the tire of a parked car at a state office park earlier this week, according to New Hampshire State Police. Thomas E. Angwin, 51, was arrested on Sept. 8, 2016, and charged with attempted criminal mischief.

According to state police, a campus trooper received a report on Tuesday about suspicious activity at the Hugh Gallen State Office Park on Pleasant Street.

The trooper investigated the incident and while doing so, she allegedly found “a screw located underneath a tire that was placed there to puncture the tire,” according to Lt. Frank Harris of the NHSP Campus Police Unit. The trooper eyed security footage of the incident and obtained witness statements and then, took out a warrant for Angwin’s arrest.

Angwin, who is a state hospital employee, according to online records, was arrested today and released on $500 personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on Nov. 4.
