Operation Santa Claus is still accepting last-minute donations to make sure needy children in the state have at least two presents at Christmas.

The effort recently received another boost — a $5,000 grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. The money will be used to assist children on the Seacoast.

"OSC relies on donations from various sources," Phil Burt, the chairman of Operation Santa Claus, said. "A grant from NHCF provides gifts to over 60 children from the seacoast area, many going to those living in foster care. Being able to give gifts to these children around the holiday season provides them with some consistency and some security, so this grant is very special to OSC."

The org recently also got a boost from Tom Balon, a developer, in the form of warehouse space and $4,000 in donations he and other contacts he knows, including Concord Kiwanis, that were made toward the effort.
