Concord Pets of the Week: Shrek and Fiona

Brother and sister are ready to be adopted at the Pope Memorial SPCA.

CONCORD, NH - Shrek and his sister, Fiona, were brought into the Pope Memorial SPCA together. They arrived with drastic hair loss and were diagnosed with demodex mange. While in their care, they both are receiving much needed medical care and lots of attention from staff and volunteers. The SPCA is currently working with them on basic commands and walking nicely on leash. They LOVE human interaction and playing with each other. The SPCA is not making it a requirement to be adopted together. If adopted separately, they would need to be the only pets in the home. Due to Fiona's size and excitability, she would do best in a home with children over 14 years of age. Shrek is a little less secure in himself and children may be a little too much excitement for him in his new home. Obedience classes and lots of positive reinforcement will help these love bug thrive in their new home(s).

For more information, please call the Pope Memorial SPCA at 603-856-8756, or visit the shelter, located at 94 Silk Farm Road in Concord. Information is also online at concordspca.org.
