Concord Police Allege Loudon Teen Shot Up Longmeadow Drive Home

Steven Maxfield, 18, charged with felony reckless conduct.

A month long investigation by the Concord and Loudon police departments has led to the arrest of a teen that investigators allege shot up a house on Longmeadow Drive.

Steven Maxfield, 18, of Loudon, was arrested at around 3 p.m. on March 15, on a single felony reckless conduct; place another in danger charge.

According to a press statement, on Jan. 21, Concord Police responded to Longmeadow Drive after a homeowner reportedly discovered finding five gunshot holes on the side of the home, some which entered inside the house.

About a week before, the resident “remembered hearing what sounded like fire crackers outside,” but didn't think anything of it at the time. Two men, an adult and a juvenile, were inside the home at the time of the shooting.

“Concord Police detectives worked with officers from the Loudon Police Department on this investigation over the course of the past month,” said Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit. “On Friday, March 15, a search warrant was executed at Maxfield’s residence along with another Loudon residence. Evidence of the alleged crime was recovered as a result of these searches.”

Maxfield was arrested and held on $50,000 cash bail. He was arraigned today in Sixth Circuit District Division Court in Concord.
