Concord Police Investigating Alton Woods Apartment After Morning Fight
Cops were sent to a melee at Building 4 Saturday; stop fleeing SUV later; witness says "shortened down AK-47" flashed during the incident.

CONCORD, NH — A fight outside a building in the Alton Woods complex has led to a multi-hour search of an apartment on Saturday.
Around 1:45 a.m., police were sent to a report of a fight outside Building 4 involving several people. One witness reported a silver SUV left the area but there were still people outside the apartment fighting.
A number of officers were called to the complex to investigate the incident while another spotted the SUV, a Honda CR-V, on Loudon Road and initiated a traffic stop. Inside the vehicle, the officer recognized a man from previous encounters. The officer said at least one person in the SUV would not identify themselves. Later, the driver was given a field sobriety test.

Another passenger in the SUV accused a man at the apartment of flashing a gun during the incident, according to scanner chatter.
“They’re saying he had a gun in his hand,” the officer said. “They are not sure if it was real or not but they were pretty certain it was something that resembled a firearm.”

The man was described as Black, mid-20s, with a heavier build and short hair. The gun was described as “a shortened down AK-47,” another officer said.
One person in the SUV, from Michigan, had a warrant out of Detroit but it was not extraditable, according to police dispatch.
Officers took statements from everyone in the SUV.
At Alton Woods, officers spoke to witnesses and others including a teenager from Lowell, Massachusetts, and people connected to the apartment.
More police showed up and later, officers requested a consent agreement from the tenant, who reportedly agreed police could search their apartment.
