Concord Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in the Quarries
Limited info is available at post time about a man's death near Blossom Hill Cemetery.

Concord Police are at Blossom Hill Cemetery at this hour at the scene of a reported fatality that could be a possible man taking his own life.
Details are limited at post time but two unmarked detective vehicles and a cruiser were at the west side of the cemetery near the trail head entrance to the quarry and Rattlesnake Hill trails at around 3:30 p.m.
According to scanner chatter, the state’s medical examiner was called to the area to assist. Concord Fire and Rescue teams were requested to head to the scene to assist with the removal of a body at around 4:05 p.m.

Witnesses who were hiking in the area earlier this afternoon instant messaged details Concord NH Patch about the incident. They reported hearing a loud bang that sounded like fireworks and when they headed to the area, saw the man on the ground who had possibly taken his own life. The witnesses were interviewed by police and then allowed to leave the scene.
Lt. Joe Wright of the Concord Police Department would not confirm whether or not the incident was a suicide because the investigation into the death is still ongoing.
