CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a fight outside a store in Penacook Friday.

Around 8 p.m., officers were sent to Village Street Discount Beverages-Sam’s store on Village Street for a report of three people fighting, one with a head wound who was bleeding. The first officer arrived and did not see anyone, suggesting that the officers slow down and not rush to the scene.

After speaking to the injured man, officers went to an apartment building on Village Street near Coral Street and took one person into custody for resisting arrest. The officer said another suspect, a woman, ran from the scene.

While investigating the Sam’s incident, other officers were requested to a second disturbance on Village Street in Penacook. According to scanner chatter, officers realized the second disturbance was connected to the first.

A woman was also taken into custody after checking some warrants and protective orders.

While investigating the second incident, officers found out another person may have been involved in the altercation, and they possessed an expandable baton.

Another woman was also taken into protective custody due to alcohol. She was released later to a sober party, the officer said.

A second woman was also charged with resisting and stalking.

While investigating the two Penacook incidents, police were sent to an apartment on Fisherville Road for a report of a 4-year-old being assaulted.

The child was taken to Concord Hospital.
