Concord Police Investigating Shooting at McDonald's

Limited details available at post time about incident Saturday morning on Fisherville Road.

Concord Police investigators are releasing limited information about a shooting on June 13, 2015, at a local McDonald’s Restaurant.

Police were called to the restaurant on Fisherville Road at around 11:45 a.m. for of an individual who had been shot, according to Lt. Cori Casey, a watch commander with the department.

“The injured subject had been in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and was a 28-year-old female,” Casey said. “Officers arrived on scene and discovered a 29-year-old male in the passenger seat, attempting to assist the female with an apparent leg injury.”

The woman was transported for Concord Fire and Rescue teams to Concord Hospital where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

“The preliminary investigation revealed that the shot was not self-inflicted and was unintentional,” according to Casey. “This incident is still under investigation.”
