Concord Police Investigating Stabbing At The Best Western; Man Taken To Hospital
Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the Hall Street hotel parking lot on Tuesday for a stabbing incident.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred early Tuesday morning at a local hotel.
Around 12:30 a.m., a man on a bike reported to a Best Western employee he had been stabbed in the leg. The victim was in the back parking lot of the Hall Street hotel, the employee told 911, but they did not have any other details about the incident.
No description of the assailant was given to police, but when they arrived, the first officer said the man, who was homeless and known to police due to numerous arrests and incidents, was alert and conscious.

“I’m off with (him),” the officer said. “It looks like he does have a pretty good cut to his leg”
Other officers arrived and began searching the area for a possible assailant while Concord fire and rescue teams were requested to examine the victim. The man was taken to Concord Hospital later.

Around 12:45 a.m., officers began visiting homeless camps along Hall Street to see if there was anyone to speak with about the case. An officer went with the victim to Concord Hospital to question him about the incident to see if he knew who did it, according to scanner chatter.
The weapon in the incident was a sword and police are still searching for a suspect.
The stabbing victim was also recently accused of threatening others at a camp underneath the Interstate 393 bridge on South Commercial Street early Sunday morning. There were reports of him being possibly armed with a gun. However, police could not prove the incident occurred, and witnesses would not clarify what the call was about.
