Concord Police Log: Franklin Teen Busted with Booze, Drugs

Plus, Thornton woman charged with swapping barcodes on organic produce with regular produce at a store in order to pay the cheaper price.

Jason M. Emanuel, 43, of Market Street in Manchester, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. on Nov. 8, 2015, for disorderly conduct. An officer and detective sergeant were sent to North Spring and Centre streets for a disorderly man who was reportedly interfering with a traffic stop that led to a DWI charge and minors in possession of alcohol. The detective alleged that Emanuel kept yelling, “F--- you!” and said that they were “harassing good people, like always” at the officers at the scene. Emanuel was reportedly told to stop yelling profanities and to leave the area but he allegedly refused and was arrested. “During the booking process Emanuel kept stating that he knew coming to Concord was a great idea because he knew that he would be able to get arrested here (Concord),” according to the report. He was held without bail and arraigned the next day.

Ryan C. McKernan, 33, of Neponset Street in Norwood, MA, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. on Nov. 7, on two counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer at the Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road. One of the incidents was from Oct. 4, 2015; the second incident was on Aug. 23, 2015. He turned himself in to police on warrants and was released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail. McKernan is due in court on Dec. 14.

David M. Sanborn, 53, of Bartlett Street in Allenstown, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. on Oct. 31, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and red light violation. While parked on South Main Street eyeing traffic, an officer saw a SUV on Storrs Street “come to a loud screeching stop in the middle of the intersection at South Main Street after running a red light.” The SUV sat for about five seconds and then “accelerated at a high speed, screeching its tires” down South Main. The officer turned on his cruiser’s emergency lights and followed the GMC Terrain but it didn’t stop and drifted back and forth in the lane, according to the report. The SUV eventually stopped in the parking lot of the CVS on Hall Street. As the officer approached to speak to the driver, Sanborn, he allegedly “could immediately smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle.” Sanborn allegedly had a slight slur and bloodshot eyes, and apologized for driving the way he did, allegedly stating “that he wouldn’t have been driving the way he did if he knew I was a cop.” A sergeant arrived at the scene after Sanborn agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested.

Kathryn Cristiano, 26, of Karma Court in Thornton, received a summons at 3:39 p.m. on Oct. 12, for theft by deception and unauthorized taking or transfer after an incident at Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road for allegedly selecting several organic food items, taking them out of their packages, and placing them in other produce packages which she later paid for. “In total the deception, manipulating the item barcodes for that of a lower priced item, was a total theft of $5.01,” according to the officer. Another $67.68 worth of items were in allegedly her purse, according to the report. Cristiano is due in court on Nov. 23.

Schyler Joyce, 24, of Notre Dame Avenue in Manchester, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on Oct. 11, on two counts of driving while intoxicated. Officers were sent to Fisherville Road for a report of a disturbance and a possible impaired driver that hit a parked car. The caller stated that the operator was “hammered” and appeared to be trying to leave. When the first officer arrived, he separated the person who called in the incident and the driver, Joyce, who allegedly was trying to leave the area without acknowledging the accident with the parked vehicle. A woman stated that Joyce allegedly told her he would “make it square” and then went to take off. The two people argued in the parking lot until police arrived. Joyce was allegedly “very unsteady on his feet and slurring his speech,” according to the officer and “seemed confused and offered very little information” when asked about the situation. After a field sobriety test, he was arrested.

Jason Ames, 37, of Merrimack Street in Manchester, was arrested at 11:40 a.m. on Oct. 8, for driving after revocation or suspension after a traffic stop on Hall Street for a brake light that wasn’t working. After the stop, Ames allegedly admitted to having a suspended license and was arrested. A check stated that his license was suspended on May 24, 2015, for default court summons.

Devin M. Hennessy, 18, of King Street in Franklin, was arrested at 6:19 p.m. on Oct. 6, for possession of drugs, possession of controlled drugs, unlawful possession of alcohol, and transportation of alcoholic beverages by a minor. An officer saw a Subaru Forester with an expired inspection sticker on Storrs Street and pulled the vehicle over. The driver, Hennessy, reportedly told the officer that he just registered the vehicle but hadn’t gotten it inspected yet. While speaking the Hennessy, the officer allegedly smelled marijuana in the vehicle and asked him to step out of the car. After speaking about the marijuana smell, Hennessy allegedly handed over a pipe to the officer. A consent search allegedly revealed another pipe, an empty bottle of Mike’s Hard Cherry Lemonade, and an unopened 1.75L bottle of Pinnacle Vodka.

Jennifer Bundy, 29, of Garvins Falls Road in Concord, was arrested at 9:25 a.m. on Oct. 5, for suspended registration and a summons for change of address after a traffic stop on South Main Street for having expired plates. The vehicle was suspended for default motor vehicle summons on Feb. 10, 2015. Bundy said she thought she paid the fine, according to the report.

Brendan S. Clogston, 28, of Clarendon Avenue in Somerville, received a summons at 1:05 a.m. on Oct. 4, for driving after revocation or suspension after a traffic stop for driving his Jeep Wrangler with its high beams on and a taillight that wasn’t working properly. The driver, Clogston, had a suspended license for nonpayment in Massachusetts and was cited.

Mairin J. Lacoste, 34, of Concord, was arrested at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 3, on a bench warrant out of Hillsborough County for failure to pay her attorney from Feb. 27, 2015 and a bicycle riding infraction. An officer saw a bicyclist riding in the middle of the westbound lane and splitting between the white dashed center lane markers in the middle of busy traffic. “Fearing the bicyclist was going to be struck by vehicles, I turned around and conducted a bicycle stop,” the officer stated. The bicyclist was wearing headphones and the officer used the cruiser siren twice to get her to stop. After she did, the officer spoke to her about her riding but she allegedly denied riding in the middle of the travel lane. “I advised her that I was not going to argue with her and asked for her name,” the officer reported. “The female became highly agitated and said, ‘Am I being detained?’ I advised her that she was in fact being detained. The female said, ‘Look I really need to go, my friend needs my help.’ I advised her stay where she was and provide me with some form of identification.” Dispatch found the warrant and she was arrested. Lacoste allegedly became upset and complained that she was being treated disrespectfully. When given a citation for the bike riding infraction, she allegedly crumpled it into a ball and stuffed it in her jacket.
