Concord Police Still Looking For TV-Dropper

Damage could have been more life-threatening.

After more than a year without a single tip, investigators within the are again asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who was involved in “an act of extreme violence” in 2010.

According to police, a white male in his late teens or early 20s allegedly dropped a television on a car in the Capitol Commons Parking Garage on Nov. 30, 2010. The man was wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt or jacket, with the design of a cross on the back. He allegedly threw the television from the fifth floor of the garage onto Storrs Street.

The television struck a vehicle that was leaving the garage. The vehicle was driven by a young Concord woman and sustained damage to the passenger door and window. The woman was not injured in the incident, according to police, who said that the incident appears to be random and not targeted against the woman.

“If this had been more of a direct hit to the roof the operator would have sustained serious if not life threatening injuries,” noted Acting-Deputy Chief Keith Mitchell in an email.

Evidence was collected from the scene at the time of the incident, including video footage of the alleged perpetrator with the television at the elevator of the garage.
