Concord School District Hosts Back To School Event Aug. 20
The district's back-to-school family night will be held at Keach Park on Aug. 20.
CONCORD, NH — It’s back to school time.
The first day of school in Concord is Wednesday, Aug. 28. Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no school on Aug. 30 or Sept. 2. Students will also have Sept. 10 off due to the state primary (voting takes place in several schools).
The first day of school for the Merrimack Valley School District is also Aug. 28.

A back-to-school family night is being held for SAU 8 students from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Keach Park. The event is free. Parents can meet school administration and learn about community resources.
Kathleen Murphy, in a superintendent update, said bus routes will be available on Monday and shared via PowerSchool. Annual updates will also be given to each student’s primary contact. Parents were asked to fill out important information regarding emergency contacts, nurse permissions, and other important policies.
