Concord Shooting Victim Dies; AG Opens Suspicious Death Investigation
Follow-Up: Police, state troopers, and sheriff's employees are searching for a suspect after a man was shot and killed on Tuesday night.
CONCORD, NH — A man shot on Garvins Falls Road on Tuesday night has died.
Limited information is available at post time, but the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office issued a statement about a “suspicious death” investigation in Concord just before 9 p.m. Michael Garrity, the director of communications, said, “The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under active investigation.”

At around 7:15 p.m., police dispatch received a call about a man shot in the area. Dispatch said the man was conscious and breathing but was not looking good. Many police officers and state troopers all arrived to assist.

Concord fire and rescue teams took the man to Concord Hospital, where he died later.
Dispatch told officers the shooting happened at a home on Garvins Falls Road near the Pembroke town line and the victim made their way to the Dunkin’ Donuts on Manchester Street.

As of 9 p.m., police are actively searching that area of the city for a suspect — a white man, wearing all black, including a black sweatshirt, a black beanie, and tennis shoes. The suspect also had facial and neck tattoos, according to scanner chatter.
The search grid includes 4 Garvins Falls Road, a flophouse apartment building that has been a magnet for crime and drugs for many years, as well as homeless camps in the immediate area, including Garvins Falls Road and Black Hill Road, and other homes in the area.
