Concord Teen Arrested By State Police On Aggravated DWI Charge On I-93

Tyler Gay faces driving while intoxicated and reckless operation charges after being accused of driving drunk at 136 mph on Tuesday night.

CONCORD, NH — A teen from Concord was arrested on Tuesday, accused of drunken driving and being clocked by radar driving 136 mph on Interstate 93.

Around 10 p.m., a state trooper monitoring traffic on the northbound side of the highway in Concord reportedly saw a vehicle traveling at “an excessively high rate of speed,” Amber Lagace, the public information officer for the department, said.

“(The trooper) was able to ascertain the vehicle’s speed at 136 mph using his cruiser-mounted radar,” she said. “(The) trooper stopped the vehicle a short time later, making contact with the operator.”

The driver, Tyler J. Gay, 19, of Concord was accused by the trooper of showing signs of impairment.

After a roadside investigation, he was arrested on aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless operation charges. He was released on personal recognizance. Gay is due in court at a later date.
