Concord Teen Charged with Assault
Police alleged she assaulted her stepfather during an evening argument in December.

A local teen is in trouble after police were called to her parent's house for an assault call.
Arianna Leigh Mohseni, 18, of Concord, was arrested at 10:54 p.m. on Dec. 6, 2013, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge.
Officers were called to an apartment on Lawrence Street for a juvenile matter but before they got there, dispatch advised that Mohseni had allegedly struck a man in the face, according to an arrest report.

Officers entered the home and saw Mohseni sitting on a couch, reportedly upset.
The man came into the living room from the kitchen with a cut on his face while bleeding from the nose, but he refused medical attention. The report said that officers tried to speak to the man but a woman in the home, who allegedly smelled like alcohol, said he was lying about what happened.

When asked what she saw, the woman reportedly said she didn’t witness anything.
Everyone was separated and an officer spoke to Mohseni about the incident. She alleged that her stepfather had been drinking and “badgering” her most of the evening. She alleged that he yelled at her about helping around the house and flicked a beer bottle cap at her, which struck her in the face. She later approached him and he allegedly slapped her in the face to get her away from him, she alleged.
The officer spoke with the man who reportedly stated that Mohseni recently lost her job and he was frustrated that she never contributed to the house. The two began to argue and Mohseni allegedly punched him in the face twice. He reportedly admitted to throwing the bottle cap but in the opposite direction. The man said he didn’t want to press charges and that he just wanted her to leave.
The officer reported there was “no evidence to corroborate Ms. Mohseni’s accusation of being struck in the face with a bottle cap.”
She was arrested and later, released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. Mohseni is due in court on Jan. 6.
Last year, Mohseni was given a summons for unlawful possession of alcohol, after her parents reported her missing during the early hours of a February morning, according to a report.
