CONCORD, NH — Volunteers will be picking up trash between 8:30 and 10 a.m. on Saturday in two targeted areas of the city, as part of the second Concord Clean Up Day.

The clean-up plan, organized by Ward 10 Concord City Councilor Jeff Foote, calls for two groups to gather at separate staging locations and tackle litter in nearby areas.

One group will meet in the rear parking lot of Sanel Auto Parts at 219 S. Main St. That team is expected to clean up two parcels of land near the site, according to the event information.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear bright clothing and durable footwear for the morning effort. AJ Gallagher & Company will supply trash grabbers, gloves, and reflective vests if needed.

This is the second year volunteers have gathered to clean up litter in this area of the city. Last year, dozens of volunteers participated, collecting trash along the “opportunity corridor,” from Exit 13 to Exit 15. More than 150 bags were collected.
