Concord Multi-Family House Fire Goes To 2-Alarms: Watch
Update: Concord, capital region firefighters battled a house fire on North State Street Friday that eventually went to 2-alarms.
CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams as well as other firefighters from around the capital region were sent to North State Street Friday for a house fire.
The fire was first reported at just after 6:15 p.m. from the second and third floors of a multi-family unit building.
When firefighters arrived, they found flames shooting out of the roof of the home and the north side of the building. A second alarm was quickly called bringing in firefighters from Bow and Pembroke.

Firefighters tackled the fire from the third floor, smashing through a window, while other firefighters doused the flames from the back of the building.
At around 6:45 p.m., a woman was seen reentering the home but quickly exited the building and was spoken to by firefighters.

According to scanner chatter, around 6:55 p.m. firefighters didn't know whether or not everyone was out of the building but later, realized everyone was evacuated prior to firefighters arriving.
More ambulances were called in around 7:05 p.m. to assist, according to fire dispatch, and more firefighters from Allenstown, Boscawen, Chichester, Dunbarton, Epsom, Hooksett, Hopkinton, and Loudon arrived.
The American Red Cross is being called in to assist those displaced, according to fire dispatch. Two cats did not survive.
"Operations were challenged when severe weather arrived toward the end of the incident," said Interim Fire Chief Guy Newbery.
While the Capital Mutual Aid Fire Compact website said the fire went to three alarms, Newbery said the fire only went to two alarms.
The scene was cleared by 9:30 p.m. Fire prevention continue to investigate the fire, he said.
