Concord Varsity Wrestlers Beat Nashua South, 60-18: New Hampshire Results

Londonderry, Milford, Salem, and Bishop Guertin all win, while Bedford, Hampton, Merrimack, Manchester fall to their opponents Wednesday.

NASHUA, NH — The Crimson Tide varsity wrestling team beat the Panthers at Nashua South on Wednesday, 60 to 18.

Concord High School started off the night with 24 points due to four weight category forfeits by Nashua (106 to 126). Hunter Richard in the 132 and Levi Madison in the 138, then won by falls.

Nashua, however, won the next four matches, with Benjamin Byrne and Diego Dominguez winning by pins and Robert Perez and Connor Whitman winning by decisions.

Carl Sirrianna for Concord, however, reset the Tide on its winning bout streak with a pin. Another forfeit was awarded to Concord, and Devon Farwell and Wayne Guiterrez Sakakeeny then pinned their Nashua opponents.

In the only two JV matches on Wednesday night, Ryley Holt and Madison Beaureguard also won by pins.

Other Results

Timberlane beat Bedford in a close match, 44 to 30.

Kiaben Kennedy and Seth Hastey won by pin, while Tucker Watson, Gavin McConnell, and Nathan Pass won by decisions for Bedford. Timberlane won four matches by fall.

Winnacunnet Regional of Hampton fell to Bishop Guertin, 52 to 30.

Austin Steinruck, Jack Kaler, James Algeo, John Forcier, Paulo Vazquez, Nicholas Mackland-Rivera, William Murphy, and Bishop Kearns all won for Guertin while Colton Stevens, Dominic Young, and Zach Lavy won for Winnacunnet. Winnacunnet won two bouts by forfeit, while Guertin won one.

Goffstown beat Merrimack, 60 to 15. Connor Marshall in the 113, Grant Descheneaux in the 138, Brendan Curley in the 157, and Sean Grendron in the 157 all won for Merrimack. Goffstown won two bouts by forfeit.

Nashua North also lost to Pinkerton Academy, 64 to 9.

Owen Gagnon won by fall, while Gavin Page won by decision for North.

Salem beat Keene, 54 to 16.

Trevor O’Brien, Dominic Murphy, Cameron Monahan, Jonathan Belkus, Kevin Todisco, Daniel Hughes, and James Nelson all won for the Blue Devils by fall. Spencer Buscema and Evan Lynch won by decisions. Salem had one forfeit. Keene won one bout by fall and three by decision.

Londonderry bested both Manchester Memorial and Manchester Central Wednesday.

Against Memorial, the Lancers won 50 to 26. Lucas DeLeon, Caleb Holden, and Finn Millis won by pins, while Dylan Nadeau and Brendan Egan won by decisions. For Memorial, Dominick Rowell, Cameron Gerardi, Patrick Vachon, and Jayden Kulian won by falls. Jyzeah Almonte, in the 126 category, won a squeaker over Haley Doyle, 14-13. Londonderry also won four forfeits.

The Lancers also bested Central, 69 to 12. Central’s Ian Maguire in the 126 and Alfredo Rentras-Ubeda in the 215 won by falls. Moqsid Rahmani, Egan, Millis, David Pento, Patrick O’Connor, and Dakota Shaffer all won their matches. The Lancers won six bouts by forfeit. Desmond Hossfield for Central and Conner Parsons for Londonderry also won by falls.

Milford also beat Manchester West in a rout, 66 to 6. Kiernan Lordan, Colton Schuster, Kyle Lajoie, Tyler Ireland, Phillip Wright, Nathanael Post, and Brendon Leeman all won by falls. Kane Davis and Evan O’Connell won by decisions. Tomas Acosta of West won by fall. The Spartans also won three bouts by forfeit.
