CONCORD, NH — Five people will have a chance at winning $1 million during a New Hampshire Lottery second-chance drawing on Thursday.

Raymond Cote of Gilford, Catherine McArthur of Pelham, Beatrice Paisley of South Berwick, Maine, Sheila Oppenheim of Waltham, Massachusetts, and Michelle Xiggoros of Concord are the five finalists for the $20 Double Diamond Spectacular second chance $1 million drawing. Each player already won $1,000 playing the scratch ticket game and was entered into a semi-finalist drawing held earlier this month. The four players who do not win the $1 million will at least receive $1,000 or $5,000 as finalists.

The drawing will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Filotimo Casino & Restaurant on South Willow Street in Manchester on Thursday. It will also be live-streamed on the lottery’s Facebook page.

“Events like this remind me that I have the best job in the world,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. “This drawing is the perfect opportunity to bring our players together for a fun and exciting experience and this is our chance to demonstrate that people actually do win. It could be your co-worker or your neighbor — real people really do win.”

McIntyre said the event will be “electric” and officials anticipate there will be “tension in the air as we draw our grand prize winner.”
