Concord Woman Charged with Prostitution

Man alleges that woman tried to trade sex for a ride.

A Concord woman was arrested last week on a prostitution charge after an alleged incident on Storrs Street.

Mary Ann Hensley, 32, was arrested on Aug. 10, and charged with prostitution and related offenses, that reportedly occurred on July 30.

According to an affidavit from the , two officers were called to the area outside of the at about 6:45 p.m. where a complainant alleged that a woman offered “sexual favors for him if he gave her a ride.” The man alleged that the woman had left the area and was walking on the railroad tracks, "shouting obscenities at him." The woman was described as having blond hair, wearing blue jeans, a black tank top, and red bandana.

One of the officers located the woman, later identified as Hensley, “matching the exact description in the adjacent area” about 15 minutes later.

According to the affidavit, the 24-year-old man from Manchester who called in the complaint, “visually identified her as the same individual that approached him.” He also reportedly provided a written statement to police in which he alleged that he was stopped by Hensley and propositioned. The man reportedly declined the offer and drove away.

On Aug. 1, the officer filed the affidavit in court and Hensley was arrested last week. She was held on $2,500 cash bail and had a court date on Aug. 13.
