Concord Work Continues

Even though your kids are heading back to school, it’s not fall yet, and the city still has a lot of roadwork left to do.

According to City Manager , Route 3 corridor improvements continue this week after a slight stall last week. Fine grading and base course will be done this week. After that, granite curb will be installed. New sidewalks will be constructed after that, he noted in the weekly memo.

New sewer pipes are being installed on Rumford Street to Call Street next week so expect delays along North State Street.

Water mains continued to be cleaned and lined in Penacook, with paving scheduled in the trenches in the coming days.

The city has also purchased two new municipal tractors to remove snow from sidewalks during the winter. During the off-season, the tractors can be used for roadside mowing.
