Concord Wrestlers Win 4th Annual Blue Duke Holiday Duels
Rundlett Middle School wrestlers beat Timberlane to take first place; Amherst comes in 3rd; Merrimack 6th; Rochester, Keene also wrestle.
CONCORD, NH — Dozens of wrestlers from six middle schools battled on Saturday during the 4th Annual Blue Duke Holiday Duels.
The event, which was postponed from last month, featured the Amherst Middle School Eagles, Keene Middle School Cardinals, Merrimack Middle School Tomahawks, Rochester Middle School Timberwolves, and Timberlane Regional Middle School Tigers, featuring players from Atkinson, Danville, Plaistow, and Sandown. The event was hosted by the Rundlett Middle School Blue Dukes.
In Round 1, Timberlane beat Amherst, 30-29, while Rundlett bested Merrimack, 36 to 18. Amherst bested Keene, 30 to 25 in Round 2 with Rochester beating Merrimack, 36 to 31. During Round 3, Timberlane beat Keene, 30 to 27, and Rundlett bested Rochester, 42 to 15.

In the championship round, Rundlett faced Timberlane, Amherst faced off against Rochester, and Keene wrestled Merrimack. The final results were Rundlett first, Timberlane second, Amherst third, Rochester fourth, Keene fifth, and Merrimack sixth.
