Confiscated Booze Leads to Tire Slash Threat
Concord Police arrest Marc Aldrich after spat with his girlfriend.

A local man was arrested last month after an argument about alcohol and the relationship he was in led to a felony threat allegation.
Marc J. Aldrich, 42, of Downing Street in Concord, was arrested at 8:37 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2015, on a felony criminal threatening (use of a deadly weapons) charge.
According to an arrest report and court affidavit, an officer was sent to a domestic disturbance on Downing Street at around 7:15 p.m. on the night in question.

The couple stated that the two were fighting about their relationship. The woman alleged that she was sick of Aldrich’s alleged excessive drinking; the officer alleged that Aldrich was intoxicated, smelling like alcohol, with bloodshot, glassy eyes, but determined that no crime committed. The woman stated that she would be leaving the apartment after she took a shower.
About an hour later, the officer was called back to the apartment, with the woman alleging that after he left, “Aldrich kept coming into the bathroom disrupting her bathing,” according to the report. She stated that she took all the alcohol in the apartment and locked it in her car, and he allegedly requested she return it but she refused.

“(She) stated Aldrich kept coming at her forcefully asking for the alcohol and she pushed him away from her,” the report stated.
Aldrich then allegedly got upset, grabbed a large kitchen knife, and threated to slash her tires, she stated. The officer saw the knife on the counter. The woman said that Aldrich allegedly put it down and she continued to pack her things.
“Nothing happened,” Aldrich reportedly countered.
During questioning, Aldrich allegedly confirmed that he was bothering the woman in the bathroom and requesting more alcohol but denied coming at her or that she pushed him. Aldrich allegedly confirmed threatening to slash her tires but denied having the knife in his hand at the time.
Aldrich was then arrested held on $500 cash bail and arraigned on Jan. 5.
