Cops Make Arrest In Pregnant Clerk Robbery Case

Abraham Sanborn of Concord arrested, charged after investigation.

Earlier today, the Concord Police arrested a Concord man and charged him with Robbery after he allegedly robbed the West Street Market and assaulted a pregnant clerk who worked there.

Abraham Sanborn, 30, of Concord, was arrested on Sept. 9, at the Merrimack County Jail where he was being held on other charges. He was charged with Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

According to police, on Aug. 29, officers were called to the West Street Market for a report of a robbery. Officers learned that a white man had entered the store, attacked a pregnant clerk, stole her purse, and money from a register. An undisclosed amount of money was robbed, according to police.

The clerk suffered minor injuries and was treated at the hospital. The store manager recently reported that mother and baby are doing just fine.

Sanborn will be arraigned in Concord District Court on Sept. 12.
