According to a court affidavit, Merrimack County dispatch sent police to a disturbance on Catamount Road in Pittsfield on July 25, 2015, that had started out as a rolling domestic incident out of Concord.

Dispatch reported that a man, later identified as Minor, “was angry, confrontational, and had been driving erratically.” When officers arrived at the scene, Minor’s girlfriend had alleged that she asked him to leave their apartment due to his anger and she didn’t want him around her two young children. Minor allegedly grabbed her keys and reportedly threatened to take her car, according to the report. The girlfriend’s mother hopped on the hood of her daughter’s car – a Chevrolet Sonic – in an attempt to keep Minor from taking it.

“He got in the driver’s seat with no regards to her being on the hood,” the officer alleged, “and drove north up Catamount Road roughly half a mile and turned around and returned to the apartment.”

Minor’s girlfriend requested another woman to call police as he was allegedly pulling out of the parking lot with her mom on the hood of the car.

“Michael Minor admitted to driving the car (with the mom) on the hood of the car even though he had his own car in the parking lot which he normally and could have used,” the officer alleged.

On Oct. 3, 2015, the officer filed a probable cause warrant and the next day, Minor was arrested.
