Concord Regional Crimeline issues alert, asks for assistance in ID'ing two men involved in robbery last night. Do you recognize them?

The Concord Regional Crimeline has released the following pictures of two men involved in the armed robbery of the Irving gas station on North State Street in Concord on Oct. 12, 2015.

According to the alert, police were sent to the gas station, located at the intersection of North State and Penacook streets at around 8:45 p.m. A store employee reported that he watched as a man with a white sweatshirt walked past the entrance of the store while another man in a black sweatshirt entered the store and walked to the register.

“The employee stated he glanced up and saw the male display a firearm tucked into his pants,” according to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit of the Concord Police Department. “The employee did not initially react to the gesture, to which the male raised his voice and said, ‘Give me all of the money in your register.’”

The employee gave the man money and he fled the scene. The employee observed that the man in the white sweatshirt took off running with the man in the black sweatshirt. Investigators believe the two subjects approached the store from the south – near Santander Bank – and fled west, up Penacook Street toward Rumford Street.

The subject who entered the store and reportedly displayed the gun is described as being a heavy-set white man, approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall. Employees estimated his age to be approximately 30. He was wearing a blue and red baseball hat and had a brownish-blonde beard. He was wearing a black, sleeveless sweatshirt (with a zipper) over a grey long-sleeved shirt, dark colored cargo pants, white sneakers.

Also of note was what was described as a “high-pitched voice” coming from the man who reportedly flashed the gun, according to the alert.

The second subject, who did not enter the store, was described as being a thin white man approximately 5-feet, 8-inches tall. He was wearing a plain white sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. He was described as wearing a white baseball hat, dark colored jeans, and white sneakers.

The Concord Police Department has recovered video surveillance from the store and is asking the public to assist in identifying the individual depicted in the photographs.
