Cops: Pizza Shop Owner was Dealing Cocaine, Marijuana

Owning a pizza shop was his dream. But now, due to alleged drug activity police say was going on inside his restaurant, his pizza shop might become a nightmare.

According to Concord Police, Kurt Dillon, 26, of Main Street in Chichester, was arrested on July 23, 2015, on conspiracy to sell a controlled drug (cocaine), possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute (cocaine), and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute (marijuana), all felonies.

Dillon was arrested after police conducted “a month long investigation into the illegal distribution of cocaine within the city with the execution of a search warrant at Dillon’s Pizza, located at 7 Depot St. in Concord.” According to police, during a search of the restaurant, which was closed at the time, “a substantial quantity of cocaine and marijuana were found.”

Dillon was arraigned in court today and held on $300,000 cash bail. In a press statement, police say that more charges and arrests are likely as the investigation is ongoing.

Dillon was preparing to open the shop this month, according to posts he made on his Facebook site.

On July 8, he started at kickstarter.com campaign to raise $5,000 to open the shop saying:

“I always wanted this pizza shop and I finally got it with a lot of hard work. born and raised in concord nh and I just don’t think anyone could do it better. ive been cooking this food my whole life half my families Italian and the other is Irish.so I can definitely cook my butt off.im raising funds for a start up I’ve invested almost everything I got to make this work I just need a little help.”

At post time on July 24, he had one backer donating $45.

Back in 2006, according to the Concord Monitor archives, Dillon was arrested when he was 17 and charged with three counts of sale of a controlled drug (marijuana), possession of marijuana, and cruelty to animals.
