Corrections Searching For Man Who Failed To Appear In Treatment Court

Hunter Michael Dwinell is wanted on a probation violation after stealing a firearm. He is considered "armed and dangerous."

CONCORD, NH — This week’s fugitive of the week from the New Hampshire Department of Corrections was last seen in Texas about 18 months ago.

Investigators hope you can help find him now.

Hunter Michael Dwinell is 31, white, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs 175 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Investigators said Dwinell had a tattoo of the word “Junior,” in old English, on his upper left arm and a marijuana leaf on his upper right arm.

Dwinell was convicted of felon possessing a dangerous weapon in Cheshire County Superior Court in November 2020 after stealing a firearm. He received a five-year probationary term with the condition he participated in and completed a treatment program in Cheshire County.

In May 2021, he failed to appear at a treatment court hearing, and a probation violation was filed against him. The warrants against Dwinell were issued in April and September 2021.

In January 2022, Dwinell was arrested in San Antonio, Texas.

“But it is possible that he has returned to New England,” investigators said. “Dwinell is known to abuse drugs.”

Dwinell has a criminal record in New Hampshire and Vermont and previously lived in southwestern New Hampshire and southeastern Vermont.
