Concord City Council Honors Gross
Former mayor, Planning Board member, heralded for contributions to city and the law.
Former Mayor , an attorney who helped start the law firm of , was honored by the on May 14 for his nearly five decades of contributions to the city.
Current Mayor said Gross was widely recognized for his vast knowledge of litigation and drafting laws. He was rated as one of the best lawyers in the country for litigation for many, many years, and even appeared before the U.S. Supreme Court.
“Martin Gross has earned the respect and confidence of his many friends and associates who have been privileged to know and work with him,” Bouley said, reading from a proclamation. “He is also acknowledged for his determination and dedication which has benefited the city of Concord.”

Gross, who has also served on the and an airport advisory board, joked that someone once said that it was nice to hear your eulogy before you died, to laughter in the room. He said it was easy to be active in the city and added that so many people who cared about Concord made it a great place to live.
“This is really wonderful,” he said. “It is probably I that should be thanking you, the city of Concord, for being so good to me … it is I that owes you … thank you very much.”
