Just before 4:30 p.m., a second ambulance was requested to assist with another patient, while the first one was taken to Concord Hospital.

The fire commander suggested the ambulance travel the wrong way on the northbound offramp from South Main Street to access the highway. A few minutes later, firefighters canceled the second ambulance, saying the second patient chose not to be taken to the hospital.
