Crash Knocks Out Power in Concord, Bow

UPDATE: Power restored after outages in the capital region.

CONCORD, NH – Unitil was called to power outages during the last 24 hours in the capital region on July 10, 2016, according to reports online and social media.

One outage at just after 11:30 p.m. on July 9, 2016, was caused by a downed pole on Clinton Street that was struck by lightning, according to witnesses. Another outage during the early morning hours, which was later restored, was caused by a motor vehicle accident, according to Unitil on Twitter. Unitil also reported at just after noon that a squirrel caused the outage that knocked out power to more than 1,700.

Unitil reported on Twitter at just after 1:30 p.m. that power had been completely restored to both Bow and Concord.
