Two minutes later, dispatch began sending other officers to the South End for a crash between a Volkswagen Passat and a silver Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck at the intersection of Thorndike and South streets with airbag deployment. At first, dispatch did not believe there were injuries. But later, they told officers fire and rescue teams were heading to the area due to one patient bleeding from the head.

When police arrived at the North State Street crash, they closed off the southbound lane and confirmed there were no injuries. Tow trucks were requested.

More officers were then sent to the South End call. One officer confirmed a driver had a head laceration and they were taken to the hospital. Later, a second ambulance was requested to take the other driver to the hospital.

Tow trucks were also requested to that crash scene.
