CRIME LOG: Boscawen Man Cited After Cellphone Distracts, Cars Crash

The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Marial Antipas Kocdal Loya, 24, of Concord, was arrested at 3:23 a.m. on May 19, on a facilitating a drug or underage alcohol house party. Officers were called to Old Suncook Road for a report of a loud party in Building 1. According to dispatch, people were drinking and smoking pot at the party. There were several people in the back patio near one of the apartments. The alleged facilitator of the party, Loya, was questioned, according to a report. The officers asked Loya if there was anyone else drinking in his apartment, and he allegedly denied that there were others in the apartment. An officer then reported seeing a young man step out of the apartment who appeared to be intoxicated. Officers then did a walk through of the apartment and found a number of individuals. The officers split the group into those who were over 21 and those under 21, and those who were under age were summoned to court. Loya was later arrested and charged. He was later released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on June 24.
  • Corey Taylor Fifield, 20, of Concord, was arrested at 5:09 p.m. on May 22, and charged with criminal trespass and obstructing report of a crime or injury. The charges stem from a warrant out of Derry District Court. Fifield turned himself into police and was given to a Londonderry Police officer who came to pick him up in Concord.
  • Bridget Jean Yeaton, 26, of Concord, was arrested at 4:43 p.m. on May 23, and charged with driving after suspension and suspended registration (operating-misd). While monitoring traffic in the Lun Hing Motel on Fisherville Road, an officer ran a check on a Toyota Scion and found out that the owner, Yeaton, has suspensions. The car was pulled over at North State and Hutchins streets. Yeaton produced a valid license and questioned the stop but was taken into custody after dispatch rechecked the computer information, a default court summons and license suspension from April 9, and a registration from April 8. Later, the officer reportedly found a pink copy of the vehicle summons in the glove box of the car from Jan. 27, written by the reporting officer, for failure to get a vehicle inspected. Yeaton later noted that she had moved from the address where the notices were sent, according to the officer. She was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail.
  • Sumner W. Chabot, 20, of Concord, was arrested at 9:59 a.m. on May 24, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge. While on Airport Road, an officer reportedly saw a vehicle without an inspection sticker on the windshield. The officer stopped the vehicle at Airport Road and Quincy Street. Chabot, according to the officer, said he knew the vehicle had not been inspected and was in the process of purchasing a different vehicle, due to the number of repairs needed. Chabot moved to Concord a couple of weeks ago, the officer reported. A license checked showed that Chabot’s was suspended on May 7 for a default on a motor vehicle hearing from April 26. Chabot also had a previous conviction of operating after suspension from June 26, 2012, in Merrimack District Court. Chabot was arrested and later, released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail, with a court date of July 1. He was also cited for uninspected motor vehicle.
  • Matthew D. Nudd, 34, of Boscawen, received as summons at 11:35 a.m. on May 25, on negligent driving charge. An officer was called to Sheep Davis and Pembroke roads for a motor vehicle collision. Concord Fire and Rescue teams cleared the two people of any injuries and left the scene. During interviews with the drivers, one driver, Nudd, reportedly told the officer that he reached down for a ringing cellphone before colliding with the other vehicle in front of him. He was cited and is due in court on July 1.
  • James Johannessen, 29, of Southbury, CT, received a summons at 2:30 a.m. on May 26, on a transportation of alcohol/open container (a 12 ounce Bud Light can). An officer stopped a 1995 BMW on Conant Drive for a broken brake light. Johannessen was a passenger in a rear seat and allegedly had an open can of beer in the car. Johannessen reportedly told the officer he didn’t know it was illegal to have an open container in the car. He received a summons and is due in court on July 1.
  • Sabrina N. Kleckner, 30, of Franklin, was arrested at 10:25 a.m. on May 28, and charged with possession of prescription drugs without a prescription and default or breach of bail conditions. An officer was sent to the Merrimack County pre-trial service office on North Main Street to speak to an employee who believed that Kleckner was in possession of Ketorolac without a prescription. The officer reported that Kleckner had a bottle with four pills inside and the drug ID bible noted that they were Ketorolac. Kleckner reportedly told the officer that the pills were her boyfriend’s and he was incarcerated at the time. “She was using the pills to deal with pain in her lower back,” the officer reported. The possession of the pills though was an alleged violation of Kleckner’s bail from March 4. She was arrested and refused bail. She was arraigned via video on May 29.
  • Erik D. Wentworth, 36, of Concord, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. on May 29, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. Officers were called to Fisherville Road for a disturbance. While checking the names of those in the area, Wentworth’s name came up with an outstanding warrant for a simple assault charge on Dec. 12, 2012. He was arrested and processed without incident. Wentworth was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and has a court date on July 1.
  • Scott Michael Boynton, 30, of Concord, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on May 30, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. Officers were called to Old Suncook Road for a report of a domestic in progress. The neighbor alleged that the man reportedly assaulted a woman with a brush. Officers spoke with the woman who alleged that she and Boynton, her boyfriend, were arguing about an upcoming court date and he later struck her arm with a hairbrush. The officer reported seeing “a large red mark” on her upper arm. Boynton reportedly told officers that they had gotten into an argument about “getting into other people’s business” and he decided to leave, since it was getting so heated. He denied hitting her with the brush. Later, Boynton was arrested and later, released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He’s due in court on July 1.
  • Joshua Fay, 38, of Concord, was arrested at 7:49 a.m. on May 31, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. An officer was sent to a domestic dispute between a man and woman in a driveway on South Main Street near Vinnie’s Pizza. The man was in a 2007 Jeep Liberty and the woman was on a sidewalk. The officer was flagged down by a woman, the alleged victim in the case, who was crying and had a lump on her face. The woman stated that she and Fay were in the process of a divorce and she recently learned that he was involved in a relationship with someone else. That morning, she took his cellphone and went for a walk, so she could read text messages between Fay and the other person. The woman stated she was going to send a text message but the battery on the phone died before she was able to. Fay, she alleged, caught up with her later, and he attempted to grab his phone. She alleged that Fay “pushed her back” and “pinned her against the brick wall” at Vinnie’s. The two continued to argue while he was in his Jeep and she outside, she alleged. Fay then took off, she alleged, and she flew up in the air and landed face-first on the ground in the street, she stated. Fay then reportedly came back to check on her and later, left the scene to check on their child. Other witnesses spoke with the officer about the incident. Another officer caught up with Fay and spoke with him about the situation. He was later arrested. Fay was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on July 1.
