Tyler Louis Weeks, 27, of Village Street in Penacook, was arrested at 3:48 a.m. and 11:56 p.m. on June 10, and charged with simple assault both times. According to two arrest reports and a court affidavit, officers were sent to Village Street for a 911 hang up call after no one picked up when dispatchers called back. Upon arrival, the officers spoke to Weeks who opened the door and asked what the officers wanted. Weeks reportedly told the officer that they were fine and no one called 911. The officers asked to speak to his girlfriend to make sure she was OK. She came to the door, said she was fine, and closed the door, according to the report. “When doing so, I observed that (her) left eye had been bruised and appeared to be older as it was green and yellow in color,” the officer alleged. When asked about her eye, she refused to answer and kept the door shut. When Weeks was asked about it, he allegedly stated, “I didn’t hit her if that’s what you’re asking.” The officers cleared the scene but received a call from the woman later asking to meet with them. They met with the woman outside Sam’s Convenience Store and spoke about a previous assault. “She appeared to be very nervous and paranoid, looking around as if she thought someone was watching her,” the officer reported. She later left the area and went home. A short time later, the woman called 911 again and the officers met her at the intersection of Village and Meter streets and she alleged that Weeks had punched her in the eye and struck her in the head a couple of days before. She also alleged that he slapped the phone out of her hand that morning when she called her stepfather for help after they got into an argument. Officers arrested Weeks, he was held on $5,000 cash bail, and arraigned later that morning. Later that night, officers arrested him again, at his parents’ house, while he was sleeping in a camper on the property. After being told he was being arrested again for assault, Weeks allegedly “immediately grew agitated and started yelling in disbelief,” the officer reported. After being cuffed, he allegedly continued to yell about the arrest since he had just been arrested and banged his head against the camper out of frustration, according to the report. He was arraigned again on July 28.
