Crime Stories Hot on Patch

Plus, posts about Downtown Concord were also popular last week.

It was another busy week in Concord last week, with breaking news, political stories, police and fire posts, and other stuff seen only on Patch.

There were a number of hot crime stories that made up most of the Top 10. However, two stories about Downtown Concord also made the list. Paul Brogan’s latest blog post about downtown and a follow-up story about a Belmont woman pleading guilty to a theft charge, just missed the top stories this week.

Here are the top stories and posts for the week June 7, to June 13, not including poll questions.

  1. The top story of the week was a breaking news post about a major arrest by the Concord Police Department that was connected to a drug robbery back in February. Patch readers saw the story first because it was sent out to our free breaking news alert. Click here to subscribe.
  2. Another breaking news story – a police bust of a teenage booze party on Concord Street – was the second most popular read of the week.
  3. A story about two women who face charges after one allegedly urinated in the Taco Bell parking lot was also a popular post last week.
  4. A story about a son allegedly fighting with his father was the fourth most read post of the week.
  5. An arrest report rounded out the Top 5 for the week.
  6. The story from the Concord City Council vote on the Complete Streets Downtown Concord project was sixth for the week.
  7. Coming at No. 7, was a short post about the name being removed from the new Duprey Companies building on South Main Street, an exclusive to Patch.
  8. A follow-up story about charges issued against a Concord High School teen who reportedly filed a false report about a gun incident at the school in April was also popular.
  9. A story about a felony wire trapping charge that the city decided not to prosecute came in ninth for the week.
  10. And rounding out the Top 10 was , allegedly assaulting her boyfriend.
