Crimson Tide Varsity Wrestlers Sweep 3 At Super Quad 2 In Concord; Others Rack Up Places At Tourneys

Junior varsity and Freshmen wrestlers also place in States and "Tiny's" JV World tournaments at Concord High School on Saturday.

CONCORD, NH — Dozens of wrestlers competed in bouts on Saturday, including varsity wrestlers from five high schools, as well as nine in JV and Freshmen tourneys.

Concord’s Crimson Tide wrestlers easily beat the Alvirne High School Broncos of Hudson, 75-6. After several forfeits against the Bishop Guertin Cardinals, Concord also won its match, 62-16. Bedford also brought the competition to Concord, but the Crimson Tide prevailed, 48-24.

Scores for matches between Alvirne, Bedford, Bishop Guertin, and Nashua South, which also competed in bouts, were not available on TrackWrestling.com at the time of publication. Concord will face Nashua South at a separate wrestling event later this season.

The Crimson Tide varsity wrestling team started the morning off against Hudson in the 150-pound bracket, with Daniel Sheehan of Concord winning by fall. Leonardo Chung in the 157 and Ryley Holt in the 165 also won by pin. Maximus Chung in the 175 won by decision, 9-6. Jakob Manseau in the 190, Isaiah Puckett in the 215, Wayne Gutierrez Sakakeeny in the 285, Biswas Darji in the 106, Carter Buxton in the 113, Khai Jawitz in the 120, and Dominic Schinella in the 126 all won by pin. Ramon Reynolds in the 138 and Jaxon Carter in the 144 also won by pin.

Against BG, Concord won six bouts by forfeit. In the 157, Leonardo Chung won by tech fall, 19-2, Holt won by pin in the 165, and Maximus Chung won 14-13 in the 175. In the 285, Bishop Kearns of BG won by pin. Darji won by pin in the 106. Austin Steinruck of BG in the 132 also won by pin. James Algeo of BG won the 138 by tech fall, 17-2. Sheehan pinned Dominic Stamp in the 150.

Against Bedford, Maximus Chung won the 175 in triple overtime, 6-5. Gavin McConnell of Bedford won by pin in the 190. Puckett in the 215, Gutierrez Sakakeeny in the 285, and Darji in the 106 all won by pin. Jackson Ela of Bedford won by pin in the 113. Jawitz won in the 120, 5-1, while Samuel Upham of Bedford won by major decision in the 126, 10-0. Damien Kasem of Bedford won by tech fall, 18-1, in the 138. Carter won by pin in the 144. Ethan Levesque of Bedford won the 157, 6-2. Three Concord wrestlers won their bouts by forfeit.

Tiny’s JV World And Freshman States

Concord also hosted a tourney for junior varsity wrestlers, Tiny’s JV World, and New Hampshire’s Freshman States competition.

Concord wrestlers placing at Freshman States in their weight classes included Dawsen Nedeau coming in first, Kase Cederberg placing first, Cody Daigle coming in first, Oliver Mullins placing third, Amaury Rosario placing second and AJ Glavin third, Andrew Sevigny placing first and Brysen Haskell coming in second, Brody Piehl coming in first, and Leo Bonnell coming in fourth.

Wrestlers placing in the JV tourney included Taro Camacho coming in third, Caleb Knowlton coming in second, Nicolas Roberts coming in second, Nolan Levesque coming in second and Elyjah Lelievre coming in fourth, Logan Fitzgerald coming in second and Davien Dionne coming in third, Riley Jenista coming in first and Jordan Clemons placing second, Madison Beauregard coming in first and Jerick Hubbard coming in third, and Camden Carbone coming in first and Emerson Beauregard coming in second.
