Crossover Crashes Into Tree, Apartment Pillar In Concord: Watch

Concord police are investigating how and why a woman on Jennings Drive drove up onto a sidewalk, knocking out a tree and damaging a pillar.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating how a driver drove up onto a sidewalk, knocked out a tree, and crashed into a pillar of an apartment building Thursday on Jennings Drive.

Around 8 a.m., a Concord Housing Authority complex resident called 911 to report a vehicle crashing into his apartment. The resident, who has lived there for several years, reported a neighbor drove the vehicle onto the sidewalk. In doing so, she took out a tree and then drove into his steps, damaging the pillar of the apartment building.

Police arrived shortly after the call and surveyed the situation, noting no structural damage to the building. The driver and vehicle, an Acura, were checked by police. It was unknown how and why the woman lost control of the crossover but managed to drive up an incline into the tree and building at post time.
