Body Found On Concord Conservation Land: Video
The body of a man was found at Sky Hawk Field off Locke Road on Wednesday.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a dead man found in a conservation area of the city’s east side on Wednesday.
Around 11:45 a.m., police received two calls reporting a body in the area of Sky Hawk Field, a conservation area off Locke Road formerly known as the Locke Road Sod Farm. The field is primarily used for flying model airplanes but also walking.
One call came from a man walking his dogs who reported seeing the man’s body. According to dispatch, a second call came from a pilot who was flying over the field and saw the body.

Concord fire and rescue teams were called and confirmed the body was "code gray." They cleared the area around 12:15 p.m.
Not long after, police reported finding a handgun.

Before 1 p.m., police confirmed the state’s medical examiner was heading to the area.
The exact cause of the man's death is unknown at post time.
