Body Found Off Fisherville Road In Concord

Watch: Police are investigating a body found Friday behind a strip of stores and near the Oak Bridge Condominium complex.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating a body found off Fisherville Road Friday.

Limited information is available at post time but the body was found by a man at just before 11 a.m. while walking about 30 feet into the woods behind the strip of stores at 108 Fisherville Road.

The man who found the body said he was taking a short walk for a cigarette break while doing laundry in the area. In the past, he had seen deer roaming behind the Szechuan Gardens Chinese Restaurant and near the Oak Bridge Condominiums. When he went into the woods, he saw what looked like a leg and shoes and when he moved in closer, confirmed it was a body.

The first arriving officer requested evidence technicians to the scene and a detective and other officers arrived shortly there after. Concord fire and rescue teams also arrived and then cleared.

Detectives spent several hours searching the area for potential clues even after the state's medical examiner arrived and the body was transported from the scene.
